How SURGE came to be...
SURGE Mushroom Coffee and the gourmet sweeteners were first brought to life by A'isha Bauer a native of India and her American husband, Chris Bauer in their home kitchen in Chicago in the middle of the COVID crisis.
The idea behind mushroom coffee was simple: Harness the health benefits of medicinal mushrooms, adaptogens, spices and raw chocolate in a convenient and (hopefully) tasty drink that could boost energy and provide a robust immune system!!
A'isha grew up drinking tea and Chris credited black coffee to be his ally at work!
However over a period of time, and especially as the pandemic raged, they both discovered their bodies and minds needed much more than the pure caffeine fueled rush they got from coffee and tea. Caffeine after all provides the much needed short term spike of energy but also causes brain cells to crash quickly resulting in jitters.
A'isha with her biochemistry background was determined to find that magic formula that could provide focus, energy and sustained support for both body and mind without compromising flavor and taste.
There had to be a plant based drink that could sit alongside traditional stimulating drinks that everyone can enjoy safely...
